Objectives, Missions for the period  2015-2025, Orientating to  2035

On the 6th May 2015 the Party Congress of the PVMTC term 2015-2020 was formally opened. The Congress has conducted a review and evaluation of the results achieved in the last term, and then suggested the directions and tasks in the term 2015 - 2020. The Congress has completely agreed with the direction, objectives and tasks of College until 2025 and orientations to 2035.

Views and principles of development:

By improving the model "Training - Training Services - Technical Services”, in which training activities play a key role, PVMTC has been developing entirely and modernly in order to meet the training needs and provide the high quality manpower for the petroleum industry and a part of society. The training services and technical services are the basis for improving the quality of education, which is training linked to actual production. Promote inner strength of the College and of the Oil and Gas Group, as well as expanding cooperation with other colleges, training institutions both from inside and outside our country to improve training abilities and scientific research. Training is tightly linked to actual production and scientific research to improve the skills of teachers and students. In addition, by doing this, the College has created the revenue to improve life for its employees and reinvest in training. As the result, step-by-step PVMTC has gradually achieved the autonomy in finance to accelerate growth in both size and depth.

Overall Objectives

Making advantages of all resources, building and developing PVMTC comprehensively and modernly to achieve standards of the nation, religion and the world; Contributing to the sustainable development of the petroleum industry; Carrying out multi-level interdisciplinary training and accreditation from low level to high level to have the abilities to meet the demand for training and developing human resources for Vietnam Oil and Gas industry and a part of the society.

Specific objectives

     Vocational training: high-quality vocational training under two levels: vocational intermediate (two-year) and college (three-year). Improving the quality of vocational training with raising awareness of labor discipline and industrial working style. Gradually building up the system of vocational training programs which achieve international standards. Addressing training and supplying education services for the purposes of its users. Training sufficient numbers and quality which meet the requirements of the oil and gas industry and other customers.

Regular training: Designing and developing a system of short-term training programs which is arranged through modules. These modules are ranked from lower to higher level of knowledge which is suitable for each work title. New knowledge must be updated regularly in order to keep up with the development of science and technology.
Pre-employment training and key projects of the Group and State: The College must become an address of supplying and implementing pre-employment training programs for every unit in the Oil & Gas industry.

Safety and Environment Training: Developing the Safety and Environment Training Center strongly and stably. Almost courses must achieve standards of OPITO, STCW95. The management system of safety and environment must follow the international standards.

College-University interlinking programs of Petroleum subjects: Designing College- University interlinking programs; Co-operating with Petroleum University to supply training courses which focus on practical skills and specific occupational skills.

Technical services: Concentrating on developing and enhancing the prestige and competitiveness of traditional technical services such as diving and surveying diving services; repair and maintenance services; calibrating and testing instrumentation, control, automation, safety devices. Expanding and developing new technical services to match the training fields such as industrial equipment maintenance, mechanical processing, welding, and electricity. Expanding and developing consulting training services and human resources.
